I’m seeing a lot of stuff on the internets today about the Komen breast cancer foundation pulling funding from Planned Parenthood, and how this is hypocritical because the only people who will be hurt are women who need breast exams and can only afford to get them from PP. Well here is my response: PP is an intrinsically evil organization, and it doesn’t matter which side of the pro-choice/pro-life argument you fall on.

It was started by a dedicated believer in eugenics to be a de facto death factory for Black and Irish people. Go and read Margaret Sangers personal writings from the time. Most people know this and are still ok with the organization for some reason. Whatever. Let’s get to my point. Even if you’re down with Margaret Sanger -

THEY SELL ABORTIONS FOR PROFIT. I don’t care what good they do. Anyone who can’t see that a company that sells abortions for profit shouldn’t be telling girls whether or not they should get an abortion, let alone providing them, is stupid, and I don’t care who that offends. It’s a giant conflict of interest, and it doesn’t matter if you are pro-choice or pro-life.

To the main point - there are hundreds and hundreds of free or inexpensive options for women who want or need breast exams or mammograms that don’t involve PP. So if you see any of PP’s crap floating around about this, just ignore it.
